The outward journey of service and the inward journey of spirituality are the keys to Rev. Daub's focus.  She states "I am eager to share ministry with a congregation that, in the face of all the challenges confronting mainline churches today, is enthusiastic and centered on what holds us together, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Reverend Daub brings a rich background of experiences in ministry.  She has served as Associate Pastor of Central Presbyterian Church in Buffalo and served three years as Interim Minister at North Presbyterian Church in North Tonawanda, New York.  She has served as Moderator of the Presbytery of Western New York, provided leadership for the Committee on Ministry (Vice Chairperson), Committee on Women and the Church, and has been a delegate to Wynberg Presbytery in South Africa.

Her community service has included the Interfaith Hospitality Network and Haven House.

Reverend Daub is a magna cum laude graduate of Mount Holyoke College, where she earned a double major in History and Italian.  She spent her junior year abroad at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.  A native of Tucson, Arizona, she has four siblings.

She graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary where she was awarded the Jagow Prize in Homiletics (preaching) and Speech.  Other educational experiences include a semester in Deaf Ministry at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C.

Tracy is married to Timothy Wadkins, a professor of Church History and Religious Studies at Canisius College.  Together they enjoy raising their son, Zachary, and daughter, Abigail.  They also enjoy traveling, entertaining, hiking and reading aloud to each other.

Dear Friends at UPC:

I look very much forward to meeting you.  This is a very full time in our lives:  saying good-bye, packing books, finishing tasks, packing books, sorting junk, packing books, recycling unnecessary paper, choosing unnecessary paper--tempted to not look at all and just plain fling, and packing books.

I am currently hoping to outlive my Grandma Buisch by 20 years to 120 so that I have a hope of reading the library Laura and I currently own.

I come to you with degrees in music--voice from Houghton College and Ithaca College, and degrees in theology from St. Mary's College, St. Andrews University, Scotland.  The Royal and Ancient Course in St. Andrews was one of four courses for golfing that I never golfed on because of time and skill.  I golf now to get out, be with friends, and have fun.

My professional church work has taken me to NM, PA, NY, Scotland, Haiti, Ecuador, Malawi, Singapore, and now Buffalo.  I have worked in music, Christian Education, youth, chaplaincy work in a hospital setting, and ministry of Word and Sacrament.

I am very excited about serving along side you and University Students as we watch our faith in Jesus Christ unfold.  The idea of integrating the ministry of a local church in the lives of university students compels me.  It will be exciting to see how it will continue to unfold with you.  I look forward to meeting you in worship and one on one.

Dove of Peace

Peace,

Stu

John P. Novak
Minister of Music

I am excited to join the ministry of University Presbyterian Church as your Organist and Minister of Music this September! I would also like to take a moment to provide you with some personal information so that we may become better acquainted.

I am a native of Little Meadows, Pennsylvania, a small community near Binghamton, New York.  I attended Houghton College, where I received a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education, studying the organ as my primary instrument. I then continued my education at Binghamton University. I am looking forward to receiving a Masters of Music Degree in Organ Performance later this year.

For the last two years I have been serving the Castle United Church of Christ as their organist, as well as teaching vocal music to grades 5-12 at Letchworth Central School in Gainesville.

I am looking forward to this new endeavor in ministry with your congregation and to getting to know each of you in the coming weeks and months. Feel free to come up and say hello before or after worship.

God Bless---

John P. Novak
